HOWDY!

Welcome to the Stony Point FFA website!

The Stony Point FFA is a co-curricular organization available to students at Stony Point High School.  The Stony Point FFA chapter began in 1999 when Stony Point opened its doors.  It has the largest membership of any club on campus with an average of 100 members each year.

FFA Members have a wide range of opportunities available to them.  Our chapter participates in Leadership Development Events in the fall, Career Development Events in the spring and our Supervised Agriculture Experience programs include lambs, goats, hogs, rabbits and metal fabrication projects.  Each summer, our students travel to the State FFA Convention and leadership camps.

One of our biggest and most important goals is to engage members in community serivce activities.  This year we will sponsor Safe Trick-or-Treat, have a Holiday To Drive and Pajama Drive, make Valentine's Day cards for the elderly in nursing homes and Dell Children's Center and beautify our campus through landscaping projects.  We also host two pet vaccination clincs each year to help provide our community with low cost vaccines and microchips.

SP FFA strives to provide students with educational opportunities and to instill an appreciation for Agriculture Science and all that it encompasses.  Through the FFA, students have the opportunity to build friendships, travel, earn awards and scholarships, as well as be apart of a national organization built on leadership and developing young people.  We will continue to evolove to fit the needs of our community, members and the agriculture industry.  Agricultural Education prepares students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources systems.
